Spirt in training
Hello, everyone! — I’m Spirit, a lively horse with a big personality. Life on the ranch with my trainer, Mykal, has been an exciting journey of learning and teamwork. While I’ve always had a bit of a rebellious streak, Mykal has shown me how to channel my energy into becoming a great teammate.
Donkey Gets a Pedicure
Life as a rescue donkey can be a little scary, especially when you're still learning to trust humans. But sometimes, the things you’re most afraid of turn out to be exactly what you need. Here’s my story about bravery, kindness, and a much-needed hoof trim!
“Farrah”
Hello, I’m Farrah. I may have started as a show horse, but now I’m learning to enjoy a peaceful trail ride.
“Spirit”
When I first arrived at Lee’s Pony Therapy, I was hungry, angry, and unsure of everyone. But the humans here showed me a kindness and patience I’d never known. Now, I’m the first to greet them, hoping for a scratch or treat, and I never want our time together to end. I’ve found a family here, and I couldn’t be happier.

“Pumpkin”
My name is Pumpkin, and I’ve found a second chance at life here at Lee’s Pony Therapy. My journey hasn’t been easy—I survived a terrifying accident on Highway 74, where my trailer tumbled off a cliff after my former owner lost control on a narrow mountain road. The fall left me with lasting injuries, and now I live with arthritis and a bit of stiffness. But thanks to the compassionate care here, I manage my pain with medications, and my spirit has healed. I’m happier than ever, eager to share my love with everyone who visits, grateful for the gentle touch and kindness that surrounds me daily.
“Donkey”
Lost in the high desert and rescued from a rose garden, I found myself at Lee's Pony Therapy. I'm just a humble donkey, learning to trust humans and making friends with my equine pals. Now, I think I'm ready for something new—a real name.
